About Me & My Writing

My name is Claudia Doron-Zahner. I am Swiss, 55+, and have lived abroad and in Switzerland. My international career started as a Swissair Flight Attendant. I have a degree in Hospitality Management and have worked with people from all over the world in management and as a lecturer and I am the founder of a NGO active since 2010 in the Congo. I am self-employed and active as a Relocation Expert and Transition Coach, empowering people to navigate life changes and discover ways to pause, reset, and recharge.

My writing is always rooted in experience and supports empowerment and human transition.

My first book, Look Beyond grew out of my personal story — my first 50 years and what my daughter, mother, and I had in common — and was co-created with a writer during COVID.

My second book Your Relocation provides guidance on relocation for first-time movers, drawing on 15 years of expertise.

Together with my partner, we have also co-created a summer writing project, Criminal Stories — “what is true and what is a lie” — for our friends and customers at the B&B in Italy.

In Spring 2026 I will publish a book marking 15 years of my NGO River of Hope, building a school from nothing, reflecting on resilience, continuity, and impact.

My newest series, Travel is like a Medicine, reflects my passion for travel and a gentler, restorative approach — not as escape, but as a way to recharge, regain perspective, and return to life more grounded.
